- The Cardiff Times 11/06/1910: Pontypridd District Council met on Tuesday, Mr D. Williams, J.P., presiding. The surveyor was instructed to prepare plans and estimates of the cost of a new fire station, to be erected on a site opposite the Welsh Harp Hotel
Two fire stations shown on 1959 1:1250 OS map - under railway viaduct (51.601833° -3.345033°) & Welsh Harp Hotel (51.602311° -3.345096°) - was Hotel site FB HQ?. Both still on 1961 1:2500 OS map

- The Pontypridd Chronicle and Workman's News 27/11/1896: Mr Lewis also wrote stating that he would let a piece of land at the Treforest Ironworks to the Council for the purpose of erecting a fire station thereon, at a yearly rental of 5s. The offer was accepted [not know if fire station ever built]
